Product description
The current limiting reactor is an inductive component that limits the inrush current, higher harmonics, and short-circuit fault current in the system. The reactor is made of copper or aluminum coils. Generally used in distribution lines. A branch current feeder from the same bus line tends to string a finite current reactor to limit the short-circuit current of the feeder and maintain the bus voltage without being too low due to the short circuit of the feeder.
Working principle
The reactor used in the power grid is essentially an air-core coil with no magnetically conductive material. It can be arranged in three vertical, horizontal and vertical forms as needed. When a short circuit occurs in the power system, a large value of short-circuit current is generated. If not limited, it is very difficult to maintain the dynamic stability and thermal stability of electrical equipment. Therefore, in order to meet the requirements of the interrupting capacity of some circuit breakers, a series reactor is often placed at the outlet circuit breaker to increase the short-circuit impedance and limit the short-circuit current.
